I would personally go through all the primary connection points on the amp just to make sure it is not the issue. Well not powering up could mean a faulty switch or even an open primary on the transformer. Oh well, in any case post the guts pictures, although I remember seeing a smaller one (8/10W?) and it was impossibly compact and complex. Not even sure it has a conventional iron transformer supply or an SMPS.

As Enzo would say, to start measure if your power transformer primary didn´t open, follow both primary ends until they reach the wall plug blades, maybe some connector failed or is simply poorly plugged, no damaged open power switch or fuse holder or mains plug in the path, etc. In any case, maybe parts labelling is different, just add a 5 cent resistor at the beginning and everything after gets shifted 1 up, but actual schematic should not change that much. I think I have the plain Cube 20 somewhere but will check anyway.

It generates +/-24.5 volts DC.īased on it being a capacitor input filter, we need a peak voltage about 1 volt higher to account for the droop of the capacitor and the.7 volt drop of one silicon diode. Short answer- 'yes, but.' Answered on Aug 12, 2011. The record output should be PERFECTLY balanced to hook up to a consumer-level stereo reciever with NO distortion however, this record output might be too loud for another instrument amplifier or a mixing board hence, the microphone in the latter situation. You can use the record outputs to run the signal into a stereo receiver without problems, though it would likely sound better with a shure sm57 microphone hooked up to a mixing board or other instrument amp.
